About Jennifer

Jennifer Stahl serves as the Associate Director of International Student and Scholar Services, bringing over 20 years of experience in international advising. She has been a steady and trusted presence in the office, recognized for her deep knowledge of immigration regulations, commitment to student support, and thoughtful leadership. 

Throughout her career, Jennifer has advised thousands of international students on immigration matters and adjustment to life in the U.S. She has served as a liaison to numerous campus partners and collaborates closely with Designated School Officials (DSOs) in SEVIS, including those in Enrollment Management and Graduate Studies. She also regularly supports academic advisors and employers with immigration-related questions and coordinates UNO’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program for non-resident students.

Jennifer has traveled internationally to visit former students and their families, including trips to Japan and Turkey. The hospitality she experienced abroad reminded her of the warmth of her rural hometown in South Dakota. She takes great pride in helping international students feel at home in Omaha, Nebraska.

She holds a master’s degree in Counseling, with a concentration in Student Affairs in Higher Education, from UNO. Jennifer is passionate about welcoming new students and supporting them in achieving their academic and personal goals.
