Additional Information

Charity Stahl is the Grant Coordinator for Education and Outreach Programs. She recently rejoined the team at the Center for Afghanistan Studies. Her history with the center goes back to 2003-2008 when she worked as the Program Assistant for the Afghanistan Teacher Education Project. This experience early on in her career influenced her passion for English language education, empowering women, and cross-cultural exchange and friendship. Charity has an MA in Language Teaching with a concentration in TESOL from UNO's Department of Foreign Languages and Literature. She has taught ESL in public schools in Nebraska and South Dakota as well as overseas in Turkey and Jordan. When the world went online in 2020, Charity became a Virtual English Language Fellow reaching across the world to Kazakhstan and furthering her knowledge and interest in the region of Central Asia. Besides travel and languages, Charity enjoys walking in nature, reading about ancient history, journaling, singing, and spending time with family.
