How to Change Your Major
Make an Advising Appointment
- Email: unodcs@unomaha.edu
- Please include your NUID at the top of the email so we can easily find you
- Identify which degree you are trying to switch from
- Include a current phone number and the best times to reach you
Meet with an Advisor
- Come to the appointment prepared with an idea on what you'd like to accomplish including:
- Career aspirations
- Amount of classes per term
- Any other topic you would like to dicuss
- Bring your list of questions, we pride ourselves for being flexible and identifying the best fit for you

Change of Major Request
- If you decide to make the switch after your appointment
- The advisor you met with will submit a Change of Major request on your behalf
- There is nothing you need to do in this moment
- Your assigned advisor will help guide you to degree completion once approved
