MLTI Bookend Seminars: Foundations & Capstone

Every learner’s journey is unique – however, in DCS, your academic journey begins and ends with purpose. Adult learners need more than just classes – they need connection, clarity, and confidence – as well as guidance, support, and empowerment throughout their college experience.

Our Bookend Seminars are designed to support adult learners at key transition points:

  • Foundations Seminar: A starting point to build confidence, develop durable skills, and create a personal roadmap for success.
  • Capstone Seminar: A culminating experience to reflect on your growth, apply your learning, and prepare for what's next.

Together, these seminars help you start strong, finish proud, and carry your learning forward into life, work, and lifelong growth.

Why It Matters Our Seminars are intentionally designed to support your whole journey – and create milestones towards transformation. The Seminars are:

  • Adult-centered, with flexible, relevant assignments
  • Focused on durable, transferable skills like critical thinking, creativity, and self-directed learning
  • Experiences with reflection and real-world application

Your Degree Journey, Bookended by Success

Degree Journey Graph

Think of these two courses as the anchors to your college journey. They are more than just classes—they are personalized, skill-building experiences focused on real-world application, reflection, and growth.

The Foundations Seminar is where it all begins—especially if you’re returning to school or starting for the first time in a while. It’s designed to help you build confidence, sharpen essential skills, and create a clear plan for your goals.

The Capstone Seminar is your chance to look back, celebrate how far you’ve come, and connect everything you’ve learned to what comes next—whether that’s a new career move, continued learning, or something entirely your own.
