Program Overview

Maybe you have a wide range of interests. Maybe you're returning to school with credits from multiple institutions or professional experiences. Or maybe you're designing a program that prepares you for a rapidly emerging field—or one that doesn’t even have a name yet.

Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies (BMS) with concentration - BMS Flex - gives you the power to design a degree that reflects who you are, what you’ve done, and where you’re headed. This is a personalized academic path built with purpose.

With the support of an academic advisor, you’ll choose academic areas that reflect your interests, career aspirations, and lived experience. Whether you're integrating public health and communication, combining studio art and gerontology, or connecting non-profit courses with data science, you'll graduate with a multidisciplinary degree that works for you.

Multidisciplinary thinking is at the heart of the BMS Flex experience. Real-world problems don’t fit into neat categories, and your education doesn’t have to either. By learning across academic areas, you'll build the adaptability, creativity, and critical thinking that today’s employers value most.

This is education designed to adapt—because life doesn’t follow a straight path, and neither should your degree.

  • Individually designed – Create a personalized degree plan that spans multiple fields
  • Flexible by design – Learn 100% online, in-person, or hybrid, full-time or part-time
  • Built on your experience – Leverage past coursework, professional knowledge, and military training
  • Supportive advising – Partner with advisors to build a degree that fits your life
  • Transfer-friendly – Bring in up to 90 previously earned credits
