Students of UNO PRSSA, School of Communication PR and Advertising Capstone courses, student-run agency Capstone Communication and the UNO Advertising Club garnered an unprecedented 12 awards at the recent Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Nebraska Gala.

The gala, held at Founders One Nine in Omaha, featured the 2018 Paper Anvil Awards “Honoring the Master Strategists of Public Relations” and presented awards to 148 area organization professionals and students. Eighteen School of Communication students and recent graduates attended the event.

The “up-and-coming professional’s” entries were compared to that of their peers for student awards. Their work was judged by members of the Kansas City, Missouri PRSA chapter on the same criteria as professional entries within a variety of categories.
