Welcome. Create, Connect, and Lead.
Welcome to the College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
CFAM is a place where creativity, communication, and community come together. Through art, media, music, creative writing, theatre, and communication, our students learn to think critically, create boldly, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
Our faculty are accomplished artists, performers, writers, scholars, and professionals who are deeply committed to student success. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, creative practice, research, performances, exhibitions, and community partnerships, students gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
What makes CFAM unique is its role as both an academic college and a cultural resource for our region. Through performances, exhibitions, broadcasts, storytelling, outreach programs, and community partnerships, including KVNO Classical Radio, our students and faculty connect the university to the broader community while creating meaningful opportunities for learning and engagement.
We believe that creativity and communication are essential to understanding our world and shaping its future. We invite you to explore all that CFAM has to offer as a student, supporter, audience member, listener, or community partner and to become part of a college that values innovation, collaboration, and engagement.
I invite you to learn more about our programs, attend one of our many performances, exhibitions, or events, tune in to KVNO 90.7 FM, and discover how CFAM can help you create your future.
Sincerely,
Melanie Bloom, Ph.D.
