About the Lab

The School of Communication Emerging Media Lab (SoCEML) provides students, faculty, and professionals with access to cutting-edge tools and technologies in emerging media.

The lab aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across disciplines, driving industry innovation through the development of new products, services, and business models that benefit society.

Our Scope

EML focuses on emerging media technologies, including artificial intelligence, data analysis, social media tracking/monitoring, and related areas. The lab provides students with hands-on experience with emerging technologies and tools, facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration, and supports research initiatives that leverage emerging media tools to address pressing industry issues.
