Legendary Leader Awards Luncheon

Each year, the Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Gender Equity (CCSGE) at UNO hosts a luncheon to recognize those who have made important contributions to UNO.

The luncheon will take place on April 2, 2026 from 12 - 12:50 P.M. in the Ballroom in Milo Bail Student Center View map.

Please visit UNO Parking Services for information regarding visitor parking.


Purchase Tickets for the CCSGE Luncheon

  • Ticket information will be posted closer to the event date.

  • The menu consists of a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad or a Vegetarian/Vegan Grilled Portobello Mushroom Salad and dessert.

  • Individual tickets cost TBD and tables cost TBD. Paper tickets will not be distributed. Email confirmations/receipts will be sent to the person that purchased tickets.

  • Reservations will be confirmed upon arrival at the luncheon.

  • Tickets will not be available at door; all tickets must be purchased in advance.
  • Guests may arrive 20 minutes prior to event start.

The luncheon celebrates the contributions of those who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, academics, service, and support for gender equity at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Awards presented at the luncheon are:

  • Legendary Leader of UNO Award
  • Outstanding Achievement Award
  • Community Service Award
  • Undergraduate Scholarship Award

Sponsored Organization/Product Drive

Donations will be accepted at the luncheon to support the Maverick Food Pantry. The University of Nebraska at Omaha's Maverick Food Pantry is open to the Maverick Community—including UNO, UNMC, and the College of St. Mary.

Our motto is "When you need it, take it. When you have it, give it."

Items in High Demand:

Any items from our normal inventory list

  • Toiletries and personal hygiene items (individually packaged)
  • Snacks (granola bars, fruits cups, trail mixes, etc.)
  • Ready-to-eat meals that do not require refrigeration
  • New or gently used reusable bags
  • Menstrual products
  • Parenting Products (formula, diapers, diaper wipes, etc.)
  • Can openers

CCSGE relies on the generosity of those in our community to continue offering the annual CCSGE Student Scholarship and Outstanding Faculty & Staff Achievement Award. If you are interested in donating to support these awards, you may make a tax-deductible contribution to the CCSGE Fund at the NU Foundation website.
