Business Systems & Technology

  1. UNO
  2. Accounting Services
  3. Business Systems Technology

The Business Systems & Technology office supports the Business and Finance Division with client/server support as well as SAP and PeopleSoft reporting.

Our focus is on the implementation of sound technologies for the division, specializing in payment technologies including CASHNet and PayPal account creation, as well as maintaining PCI compliance for the campus.

CASHNet

CASHNet is a web-based POS system used by Cashiering/Student Accounts to process and track monetary transactions at UNO.

Below are the forms you will need for CASHNet and other materials for receiving credit card transactions.

  • Additional Information about CASHNet

Credit Card Acceptance

Credit cards may be accepted in a variety of ways on the UNO campus, but all systems, terminals, or web apps used to take credit/debit cards must meet the following requirements:

  1. All credit card devices must be purchased through Business Systems & Technology.  A list of devices allowed can be found here.
  2. Credit cards may only be processed through Elavon, the contracted processor for the State of Nebraska.
  3. Software and/or apps accepting credit card payments must go through a contract review with P2P, a security review with Information Security and a PCI compliance review with Business Systems Technology.  An online user agreement is not a sufficient contract.
  4. Point of Sale (POS) systems may use devices not included on the approved list of devices as long as they can meet compliance standards and can be injected with the Elavon encryption key.

Nulook Access

To access your nulook dashboard, use the following link : https://data-access.nebraska.edu.   Authentication to the website is done by using the standard University of Nebraska True You login screen.

To request nulook data warehouse  access or to change your access, fill out the Data Access form here: https://data.nebraska.edu/data-requests/request-for-access. This form will create a ticket in the University of Nebraska ticket system and start a work flow that begins with the Campus Data steward approving or rejecting the request.  Upon approval, the security steward will be notified via email that a change needs to be made.

If you do not remember your nulook password, reset your password at:  https://datadictionary.nebraska.edu/  On the login page click on "Forgot your password?"  From there please follow the on-screen instructions to send you a temporary password.  Once you have the temporary password, you can go back to the Data Dictionary and login.  After logging in you can reset your password to a secure password of your choice.
