TRIO Project Achieve is grateful for its many wonderful friends in the community! We would like to especially thank:

William and Ruth Scott Foundation

In 2005, John Scott, chairman of the William and Ruth Scott Family Foundation befriended TRIO Project Achieve. This friendship resulted in a higher retention and graduation rate for over 150 first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities who faced family and financial hardships.

Benson Plant Rescue

Benson Plant Rescue (BPR) has partnered with TRIO Project Achieve students for over four years on community service projects. BPR has also partnered with TRIO Project Achieve students to establish the Project Achieve Benson Plant Rescue Garden at the south entrance to Kayser Hall on the UNO campus. All plants in the garden have been rescued by BPR.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity has supported TRIO Project Achieve students in their efforts to reestablish a student Habitat for Humanity organization on campus. TRIO Project Achieve students have led the organization since 2014, participating in at least four builds each year (one of which, last year, assisted a fellow TRIO Project Achieve student's family in building their Habitat home) and raises funds to assist Habitat for Humanity Omaha's efforts to ensure affordable housing is available to Omaha families. Learn more about Habitat for Humanity of Omaha.

City of Omaha Parks Department

Project Achieve students committed to helping the City of Omaha Parks Department keep Upland Park in South Omaha clean, graffiti free, and beautiful for two years. Learn more about the City of Omaha Parks Department.

Alfred and Pebbles Jacobo

To acknowledge TRIO Project Achieve efforts in keeping Upland Park beautiful, Upland Park Neighborhood Association leaders Alfred and Pebbles Jacobo hosted a luncheon in their home for participating students.

The Baird Holm Law Firm

The Baird Holm law firm is instrumental in assisting TRIO Project Achieve and Goodrich students who are interested in careers in law by mentoring students and hosting frequent events on preparing for admission to law school and entry into the profession.

Educationquest Foundation

The Educationquest Foundation supports Project Achieve with generous Reaching Your Potential scholarships and other support as students make their way to graduation. Learn more about the Educationquest Foundation.
