In accordance with a proclamation from President Donald J. Trump, Governor Pete Ricketts has announced that all U.S. and Nebraska flags are to be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019 in honor of Patriot Day.
Flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019.
A Day of Service
The Office of Military and Veteran Services and the Student Veterans Organization will participate in the 9/11 National Day of Service, sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and “Carry the Load” at the Omaha National Cemetery.
Serving Those Who Serve Us
As of fall 2019, UNO's total military-affiliated enrollment stands at more than 1,700 people. This number includes active duty, reserve, guard, veterans and dependents. The majority of UNO's military or veteran students have served post 9/11.
