Serving Those Who Serve Us
UNO is a top four-year institution for military friendliness, and consistently ranks among the top universities for veterans, active duty members, and their families.
The majority of UNO's military or veteran students have served post 9/11.
Chancellor Joanne Li, Ph.D., CFA: "UNO is special because of the more than 1,800 military veterans, veteran spouses and dependents, current military members, and ROTC cadets who call UNO home. They understand service to family, community, and country as a duty and a calling that comes from inside of you. Their passion for service is infectious, and UNO is stronger because of their presence."
