Call for Nominations | Staff Advisory Council

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is seeking nominations and we want you to join our team! We will need at least 7 new members to join our team this year.

What is Staff Advisory Council?

SAC was established in March 1973 with the mission to continuously promote and facilitate communication between all staff employees of UNO and communication between staff and the Chancellor. Meetings are held at various locations around campus on the second Tuesday of each month at 9am. Members serve a three year term. Chancellor Gold strongly encourages the support of supervisors in allowing their employees the time off to participate in the important mission of SAC.

2018 has been an amazing year for SAC and we have even more planned for 2019! We want your contributions and ideas! A few highlights of 2018 have been:

• Organizing the annual fall faculty and staff picnic-This is always a popular, well attended event!!
• Assisting with stuffing and distributing backpacks to local children at the Salvation Army.
• Expanding service efforts both on campus and in the greater Omaha community
• Gathering staff feedback/concerns/ideas regarding campus climate, job satisfaction, working conditions and culture.
• Disseminating important information regarding the Budget Response Team (BRT)
• Supporting inclusion and diversity on SAC by increasing membership from 25 members to 40!

We had a great 2018 and have so much more planned for 2019! Please submit your nomination by Feb. 22, 2019. You may nominate another employee or yourself (or both!)
