National employer surveys show strong support for “microcredentials” like Google Certificates, making them a great way to enhance your marketability in today’s workforce.
The University of Nebraska (NU) System's NU Initiative is pleased to continue its partnership with Google to offer accessible and affordable microcredential courses to students, faculty, staff, and all Nebraskans looking to upskill with the third cycle of its Google Career Certificates program. The program launched its first and second cohorts in August and December 2024 respectively and has seen 1,285 enrollments to date. Registration is now open for this cycle, with courses beginning April 1, 2025.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and all Nebraska residents can enroll at a discounted rate of $20 per course. Courses are designed to be completed in four months, allowing you to gain valuable credentials at your own pace. Students can use these certificates to supplement their university education, and faculty can integrate Google content into coursework. Each cycle offers 2,500 seats, so early registration is encouraged.
