New, first-year students are required to schedule an advising appointment to enroll in classes.

Orientation Checklist

Getting ready for your first semester at UNO can be a lot! We're here to help. 

  • Sign up for and complete Online Orientation (Opens in October for students starting in Spring 2027!)
  • Contact an academic advisor from your college and enroll in classes
  • Get your MavCARD (student ID) in the Milo Bail Student Center
  • Attend Durango Days events the first week of the semester
  • Buy your books and course materials at The Maverick Store
  • Buy a virtual parking permit
