Get ready to become a Maverick!

Orientation at UNO provides you with all the information you'll need to get started on your college career.

Orientation is required for all incoming students.

You'll start with Online Orientation that you sign up for through your MavLINK account.

Then, you'll meet with an academic advisor to enroll in classes for your upcoming semester.

Select the option below that best fits your new student status.

First-Year Students

New, first-year students are required to complete Online Orientation and meet with an advisor to enroll.

First-Year Students

Transfer Students

Incoming transfer students are required to complete Online Orientation and meet with an advisor to enroll.

Transfer & Readmit Students

International Students

All new international students will complete Online Orientation and attend an in-person event in January to connect with International Programs staff.

Getting ready for your first semester at UNO can be a lot! We're here to help. 

  • Sign up for and complete Online Orientation
  • Sign up for a time to meet with your academic advising team and enroll in classes
  • Sign up for and attend your New Student Launch Event
  • Get your MavCARD (student ID) in the Milo Bail Student Center
  • Sign up for and attend our virtual UNO 101 sessions
  • Join us for New Mav Events throughout the summer
  • Attend Week 0 and Durango Days events in August
  • Buy your books and course materials at The Maverick Store
  • Buy a virtual parking permit after August 1
