Transfer & Readmit Students

Orientation is required for all incoming students.

Online orientation is followed by an in-person enrollment appointment with your academic advisor.

Follow these three steps.

Sign up for online orientation via your MavLINK account.

  • Go to the Admissions tab and select Undergrad Orientation Signup
  • Review your personal information and make updates if needed

Access Online Orientation in Canvas

  • Once you sign up, it will take 24-48 hours for access to be available
  • Log in to Canvas using your NetID (e.g. jsmith) and password
    • For help logging in, visit the NU ITS Support webpage
  • Find the Online Orientation course on your Canvas dashboard
  • Click into the course and follow the instructions to complete Online Orientation

Enrollment

Enrollment appointments for transfer students will start after April 1. Transfer students cannot enroll in courses until after open enrollment at UNO on April 6.

  • Online Orientation must be completed before you meet with an academic advisor to enroll
  • Contact your advisor to schedule a meeting to enroll in courses
Academic Advising

Immunizations

All international or homeschooled students born after 1956 are required to submit an official copy of their immunization records showing two measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccinations or a positive rubeola titer.

To submit an official copy of these records, you must upload them through the immunization portal on MavLINK under "Profile."
