UNO Libraries’ Archives and Special Collections announced today that they have been awarded a $2000 grant from Humanities Nebraska to fund the On the Inside exhibit installation in the H. Don and Connie J. Osborne Family Gallery in Criss Library.

UNO Libraries’ Archives and Special Collections announced today that they have been awarded a $2550 grant from the Nebraska Arts Council to fund the On the Inside exhibit installation in the H. Don and Connie J. Osborne Family Gallery in Criss Library.

An exhibit, "Planes, Trains, and Waterways: Senator Hagel and Transportation in Nebraska", runs on the first floor of Criss Library.

Tom Farris has been immersed in American Indian art his entire life. A member of the Cherokee Nation and Otoe-Missouria tribe, he draws from his culture and his life-long influence of American Indian art to create his works. His exhibit will open on March 27 and run through April 29, 2022.

The grant funds will be used toward efforts to arrange, describe, and digitize archival collections documenting Nebraskeños history in Omaha and in the state’s rural communities.

The UNO Libraries support open access (OA) publishing at UNO through participation in agreements with scholarly publishers, which enable UNO authors to publish their articles OA in selected journals at no cost to themselves.
