Apply to be a DCS Ambassador
We are currently accepting applications for the DCS Ambassadors Student Organization. Those selected to become Ambassadors will represent DCS to members of the community inside and outside of UNO and help guide the direction of DCS by providing input on new and existing DCS programs.
As a distinguished DCS Ambassador within DCS, we wish to foster excellence, smart choices, and beneficial opportunities with professionalism and sophistication while representing the Division of Continuing Studies and University of Nebraska at Omaha. Our commitment to professional development, service, and leadership not only reflects on the students of our division, but demonstrates the depth and conscientiousness a degree from the Division of Continuing Studies provides.
As a DCS Ambassador, further leadership opportunities will be available in the form of officer positions and/or leading a project.
Some of the activities and projects that Ambassadors might assist with include:
- Attending a monthly event or meeting;
- Assisting with the Nontraditional Student Week;
- Assisting with Commencement; and,
- Participating in recruiting events to network and promote DCS.
In addition to guiding the direction of DCS, Ambassadors will receive:
- Recognition at the Ambassador Graduation Banquet, and
- Ambassador stoles that can be worn at graduation.
To apply to become an Ambassador, you must be a currently enrolled, undergraduate student in DCS, have completed at least one semester in DCS, and have at least one year remaining until graduation. Also, you must have at least a 2.50 UNO cumulative GPA. Being an Ambassador will require a time commitment of approximately five hours per month and participation in at least 50% of all Ambassador activities.
If you are interested in applying, please fill out the online application
