Writer’s Workshop graduates enjoy an extremely high acceptance rate to top graduate programs. Others go directly into careers as diverse as advertising, public relations, banking, technical writing, computer programming, graphics, or radio. Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in creative writing with an emphasis in fiction, poetry or creative nonfiction
Our undergraduate BFA program is built on the apprenticeship model. All teaching faculty, both full- and part-time, are published writers who strive to personalize instruction and bring out emerging artists’ creative potential.
The MFA in Writing is a two-year primarily distance education program of focused instruction for apprentice writers who have a strong commitment to a literary career but are unable to leave home, family or job to pursue their ambitions. Over the course of study, students earn 60 credit hours in fiction, poetry or creative nonfiction.
