The College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media (CFAM) will honor the outstanding students and faculty during the CFAM Honors Event on Wednesday, April 26 from 3 - 4 P.M. in the Strauss Performing Arts Center.

To be honored, students must meet the following criteria for an award:
- GPA of 3.3 or above;
- Student must be in good academic standing;
- Honorees should exemplify the best facets of the program and serve as student exemplars who represent the program in its best light.

Part-time Faculty Award
The faculty award recipient is Jody Boyer. Jody is an instructor in the Art & Art History unit in the School of the Arts. She teaches Digital Media, Digital Media Production, Applied Design, and Video Art.
This award is given to an outstanding part-time faculty member in recognition of their commitment and valuable contributions to the academic enterprise.
“Jody gives her part-time teaching the same attention as her full-time job! She actively seeks out experiential learning opportunities for students and helps faculty members to better engage students in an online learning environment. Jody is a strong advocate for meeting students where they are and navigating different learning styles. She is an innovative problem-solver!” - Amy Millicent Morris, Ph.D. and Director, School of the Arts
In 2014 Jody was awarded the Nebraska Middle School Art Educator of the Year by the Nebraska Art Teachers Association.
Jay Wise of the School of Music was the recipient of the 2022 award.
