Department of Psychology Scholarships
The Psychology Department awards three scholarships to undergraduate students majoring in psychology at UNO: The Frank Bellinghiere Memorial Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Stephen R. Paige Memorial Research Scholarship, and the Mary E. Flannigan Memorial Service Scholarship.
The Frank Bellinghiere Memorial Academic Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence as well as financial need. Applicants should describe their financial situation and sources of financial support to establish need. All academic achievements in research, teaching, and service should be included in the application.
The Stephen R. Paige Memorial Research Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has excelled in research endeavors, including sustained work in a faculty member’s lab, and evidence of conference presentations, publications, FUSE awards, and other research achievements.
The Mary E. Flannigan Memorial Service Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding service. Applicants will be asked to document their volunteer and service activities for the university, community, and profession of psychology while they have been at UNO.
Applying for Psychology Scholarships
To access the scholarship applications:
- Log in to MavLINK.
- Under the Financial Aid tab, click Financial Aid Home.
- Scroll down and click Apply for 2017-18 Scholarships. You will be directed to the UNO Scholarships portal.
To complete your application:
- Complete and submit the General Application Questions for university-wide scholarships.
- Complete and submit the applications for any other scholarships that are recommended to you.
The deadline to apply for scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year is March 1, 2017. Scholarships are awarded in mid-April.
