The University of Nebraska Omaha Child Care Center (UNOCCC) staff is selected because of training and/or experience in working with children.

Lead teachers have either bachelor's or associate degrees and assistants have at least two years' experience in working with children.

Teacher's assistants are often students majoring in education.
