The University of Nebraska Omaha is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The HLC accreditation addresses all programs and all locations. In addition, many UNO academic programs have sought and been awarded accreditation specific to their degree offerings.*

Programs are encouraged to consider program-specific accreditation when it is applicable and appropriate to the unit's scope, nature, and priorities. The accreditations listed below indicate the desire of UNO's faculty and administration to meet rigorous standards of academic quality.

These standards include factors such as faculty credentials, assessment processes, library holdings, physical facilities, and funding support for the institution and its programs. As a result, students can be assured their educational experiences at UNO will meet high standards of quality.

Accredited Degree Programs

Note: Some program accreditations are related to licensure or certification to practice in a specified field.
