The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is pleased to announce that Dr. Hank Robinson has been named Director of the Consortium for Crime and Justice Research (CCJR). The creation of this position is a significant step toward the goal of expanding the School's collaborative research capacity in not only the State of Nebraska but at the national level as well. CCJR will no doubt flourish with Dr. Robinson at the helm given his tremendous experience with working collaboratively with community partners in his former position of Director of the Juvenile Justice Institute. Welcome, Dr. Robinson!

Welcome to the UNO School of Criminology and Criminal Justice! We hope you find this website useful in answering your questions about our degree and research programs. The UNO School of Criminology and Criminal Justice offers a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, a Master of Arts and a Doctorate in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Faculty research includes attention to the major components of the criminal justice system, as well as the study of criminal behavior and law.  

Undergraduate Distance Education Courses for University of Nebraska Students

The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is pleased to be able to offer all NU students (i.e., UNL, UNO, and UNK) the opportunity to take distance education courses. Several undergraduate courses are available online through UNL Also known as "X courses", these online courses provide students with flexibility in scheduling. Online Masters Courses in Criminology and Criminal Justice

Masters level graduate courses are coming online at UNO. These courses are open to all UNO graduate students. CJUS8050 Terrorism is being offered in Spring 2010, CJUS8010 Nature of Crime in Summer 2010, and CJUS8080 Seminar in Juvenile Justice in Fall 2010. Eta is the name of the University of Nebraska at Omaha chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma. The chapter was formed in 1993. If you are interested in applying for membership in Alpha Phi Sigma, membership application forms are available in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice office located at 218 CPACS.
