The Office of Graduate Studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) provides campuswide leadership to develop, enhance, and promote outstanding graduate education; to ensure a rich environment focused on learning, integrity, creative activity, and the discovery and dissemination of new knowledge; and to be recognized for excellence in regional, national, and global engagement and contributions.
Our Goals
GOAL #1: UNO Office of Graduate Studies will collaborate to develop, enhance, and promote excellence, innovation, and a student-centered academic experience in graduate education.
- Objective 1: Continually enhance UNO's existing graduate education programs.
- Objective 2: Develop outstanding new graduate education programs.
- Objective 3: Promote and advocate for graduate education opportunities at UNO.
GOAL #2: UNO Office of Graduate Studies will support a rich environment for learning, creative activity, and the discovery and communication of new knowledge.
- Objective 1: Foster a culture and environment that positively acknowledges and rewards creative endeavors.
- Objective 2: Promote and nurture the dissemination of new scholarship.
- Objective 3: Promotes shared governance in the development and implementation of graduate policy in concert with the University of Nebraska Graduate College.
GOAL #3: UNO Office of Graduate Studies will be recognized for excellence in regional, national, and global engagement and contributions.
- Objective 1: Strive to be recognized for excellence in integrity and engagement.
- Objective 2: Support students' success in their internships, training, and other community-centered endeavors.
- Objective 3: Serve the scholarly and professional needs of prospective and current graduate students from recruitment and admission through graduation.
