UNO is proud to host AmeriCorps VISTAs.

Starting in 2023, UNO became home to three AmeriCorps VISTAs who focus on increasing the social mobility of UNO at-promise students. AmeriCorps VISTAs at UNO work in UNO's Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center. This nationally recognized, one-of-a-kind facility focuses on connecting the campus to the Omaha community and beyond.

In partnership with Campus Compact, UNO is now hiring three positions for the 2024 AmeriCorps VISTA cycle. You can learn more about each VISTA position and how to apply below.

They will evaluate the community's needs in these areas, the nonprofit organizations serving these needs, and the poverty-related resources that are currently existing and missing in the community.
