North Platte – Today’s rapidly-evolving corporate, industrial, and technological worlds require a workforce that is more adaptable and engaged in order to adequately respond to tomorrow’s needs, says Andrea Wenburg, author, motivational speaker, and founder and CEO of Voice of Influence® , LLC, team performance and leadership consulting.

Headquartered in North Platte, and seeking and serving clients globally, Voice of Influence helps upper leadership obtain “strategic clarity and build collaborative teams that solve today’s challenges and innovate for the future,” Wenburg says.

She founded the company in 2017 after writing and speaking about her book, “UNFROZEN: Stop Holding Back and Release the Real You,” which led to launching and hosting her Voice of Influence podcast, followed by corporate consulting.

“I drew on my background in psychology, humanities, and education to help audiences and clients refine and communicate in a way that would persuade and engage others,” she says. “Voice of Influence since expanded that mission bringing it to the executive and cultural levels in both government and corporate contexts.”

Voice of Influence blends leading-edge insight on what Wenburg calls “the future of work,” such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), technological transformation, and the evolution of the empowered workforce, with an understanding of leadership and organizational psychology to ensure programs remain relevant and transformative.

Regarding “the future of work,” Wenburg says the rate of change in the world is increasing and tomorrow’s workforce “needs to be prepared to handle that. It will require a different way of thinking and communicating, and true collaboration, to develop human skills and the ability to grow.”

Wenburg emphasizes that influence is a shared effort between leaders and individual contributors. Voice of Influence programs strategically align personal agency with organizational structure and role responsibilities, fostering an environment that attracts, retains and engages the workforce of the future.

“Our clients benefit as we help them turn ideas into meaningful action that gets successful business results,” she says.

To help grow her own company, Wenburg utilizes the guidance of the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) and its APEX Accelerator government contracting services.

Wenburg registered as an APEX Accelerator in 2021 and began working with APEX Accelerator Consultant Chuck Beck, of the NBDC office in Kearney.

“When Andrea initially reached out to me, she was focused on bringing Voice of Influence’s services and solutions to the government market,” Beck recalls. “She wanted to apply for the Small Business Administration (SBA) Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) certification, which could help her efforts to contract with federal agencies.

“It quickly became apparent that Andrea had a thirst to learn and understand government contracting that was augmented by her deep understanding of the consulting industry,” he says. “Andrea won the first contract that she bid on with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Omaha District. Andrea has continued tapping into a variety of services provided by Nebraska APEX Accelerator including attending our Meet the Buyers Conference, where she was able to visit with government agency and prime contractor representatives.”

In 2023, Voice of Influence also won the leadership development program contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – St. Louis District.

Wenburg says Beck and the NBDC have been instrumental in helping her navigate the often complicated network of government processes. “Thanks to their support, Voice of Influence has not only secured significant contracts but has also established itself as a trusted provider of leadership and executive development services,” she says.

Voice of Influence continues to expand its efforts to help businesses large and small, along with corporate leaders, to create employment opportunities and further economic growth. “Voice of Influence is dedicated to equipping organizations and individuals with the tools they need to adapt to the future of work,” she says. “I want to amplify their voices so they have a positive impact.”
