Omaha – The Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) is pleased to announce that Kiley Phelps has been promoted to Associate State Director for the Nebraska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program, effective July 1, 2025.
In her new role, Phelps will continue to lead the Omaha SBDC and will take on expanded responsibilities to support the statewide program. She will work closely with State Director Tony Schultz to assist with data analysis, grant applications, reporting, and the onboarding and training of new Center Directors and Business Consultants.
“Kiley’s leadership of the Omaha Center has been instrumental in helping entrepreneurs navigate challenges and grow their businesses,” said Tony Schultz, State Director of the Nebraska SBDC. “Her promotion recognizes both her outstanding contributions to the program and the value she brings to our long-term strategic goals.”
Since joining NBDC, Phelps has demonstrated a deep commitment to Nebraska’s small business community and a talent for mentorship and collaboration.
“Kiley has a strong understanding of what it takes to serve Nebraska’s entrepreneurs at every stage of the business lifecycle,” said Dan Curran, Executive Director of NBDC. “We’re excited to support her growth in this new leadership role.”
Phelps says she is eager to continue making an impact while learning more about statewide SBDC operations.
“I’m honored by this opportunity to support my colleagues and strengthen the Nebraska SBDC program,” said Phelps. “Small business owners across our state work hard every day to pursue their goals, and I’m excited to grow alongside the program as we help them succeed.”
The Nebraska SBDC is a statewide network of consultants that provides confidential, one-on-one business services to entrepreneurs at no cost. The program is hosted by the Nebraska Business Development Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
