The College of Public Affairs Urban Research Grants 2016 Fall Presentations

Since 2014, CPACS has funded research grants given to its faculty and staff members to conduct applied research relevant to urban society. This fall some of the research findings from these grant projects will be presented by the investigators.

Variability in the Implementation of State-Wide Law across Urban Environments: A Case Study using Sex Offender Law as an Example

Lisa Sample, professor, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Emily Rader, doctoral student

Smart Urban Cities/Communities: Leveraging Information and Communication Technologies for Improving Local Public Services

Yu-Che Chen, associate professor, Jooho Lee, assistant professor, and Robert Blair, associate professor, School of Public Administration, and two doctoral students

Drs. Jooho Lee, Yu-Che Chen and Bob Blair will present their research findings on October 6, 2016, at 12 NOON in the CPACS Collaborating Commons.Refreshments will be provided.


Douglas County Adult Drug Court Evaluation Follow-up and Sentencing Unsuccessful Drug Participants

William Wakefield, professor, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Ben Gibbs, Ball State University, and graduate research assistant

Dr. Wakefield will present his research findings on October 13, 2016, at 12 NOON in the CPACS Collaborating Commons. Refreshments will be provided.


Program Evaluation Capacity-Building Training

Jeanette Harder, professor, Andrea Bradley, graduate research assistant, and Johnathon Stanton, operation manager, STEPs

Dr. Harder and STEPs program staff will present their research findings on November 14, 2016, at NOON in the CPACS Collaborating Commons. Refreshments will be provided.
