Administrative Core

  1. UNO
  2. Biomechanics
  3. Center for Research in Human Movement Variability
  4. Administrative Core

The overall goal of the Administrative Core (ADMIN) is to coordinate the development, high-impact functioning, and sustainability of the Center for Research in Human Movement Variability (MOVCENTR) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. This core is crucial in facilitating meaningful interactions and insightful input from key stakeholders, such as investigators, leadership, core directors, technical staff, and consultants. Additionally, it supports the scientific cores and COBRE research plans that address center, university, and national/international priorities in our field.

We administer a highly interconnected program that aligns with the needs of the user base and COBRE initiatives to take optimal advantage of the university's resources for the COBRE to exert a sustained, powerful influence on restoring healthy human movement variability across a range of movement disorders. The Executive Committee (EC), which includes the PD/PI (Dr. Nick Stergiou) as Chair, the Core Directors, the Financial Administrator, and the Program Coordinator, as well as the Advisory Committee (AC), provides input and support to PD/PI to oversee the ADMIN and manage all necessary operations.

ADMIN Core Specific Aims

AIM #1: SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP - The Executive Committee is responsible for the supervision, accountability, program integration, and leadership of all MOVCENTR programs, services, and interactions.

AIM #2: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS - Operations are the responsibility of the PD/PI and the ADMIN personnel.

AIM #3: SUSTAINABILITY AND STRATEGIC PLANNING - The ADMIN Core offers scientific and programmatic guidance to ensure the sustainability and success of the MOVCENTR.

AIM #4: EVALUATION - Our Evaluation Plan will assess the performance and outcomes of the COBRE to identify improvements to strengthen the MOVCENTR. The PD/PI, the Program Coordinator, and the EC are tasked with creating a comprehensive evaluation plan to ensure the programs' quality control and ongoing enhancement in response to identified needs.

AIM #5: PILOT PROJECT PROGRAM - The MOVCENTR will continue its successful Pilot Project Program to attract new investigators to produce sound preliminary data and access to our cores with the goal of acquiring competitive external funding and publishing high-impact peer-reviewed papers.
