Arts & Sciences Junior To-Dos

You're almost to graduation! Here's a few to-dos to keep in mind as you race towards the finish line.

In collaboration with advising, your degree audit is a powerful tool to help you plan your academics and track progress toward the completion of degree requirements. Learn how to read and use your degree audit (DegreeWorks or Stellic) and contact your academic advisor if you have any questions. Degree audits can be viewed through MavLINK - Degree Audit tab.

Enroll in a service learning class. Every semester, there are a variety of courses at UNO that incorporate service learning. Students are given the opportunity to apply the classroom curriculum to actual community-identified opportunities through hands-on projects. Service learning prepares students to work and serve in an increasingly diverse and challenging environment, making them more desirable for future employment and increases their sense of civic engagement.

Identify opportunities to engage in research within your academic program. A variety of resources are available at UNO for support of student research. A good first step is to talk to your advisor or faculty mentor. Some support may be available from your major department.

Here's some more great connections for student research opportunities:

Your personal brand encompasses many different aspects, including pictures, social media profiles, your network, and information found on the internet.
