Recognizing Your Individual Needs
We recognize that the lives of BGS students are different than those of traditional undergraduates. Based on your individual needs—whether you’re a military professional or a busy parent—we will help you plot a degree plan at a pace that fits your lifestyle.
The BGS program is one of the largest degree programs at UNO and owns a rich history that dates back to the government’s Operation Bootstrap initiative in the late 1940s, which was designed to provide commissioned officers a chance to “lift themselves up by their bootstraps” by completing a degree in post-military life.
