Biography

Stephanie Welch serves as the Post-Award Manager in the Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Prior to her appointment as Post-Award Manager, she served as a Grants Accountant II and brings more than 10 years of University of Nebraska experience in budgeting, expense monitoring and reconciliation, and financial reporting.

As Post-Award Manager, Stephanie oversees the day-to-day operations of the post-award team while maintaining a portfolio of complex sponsored projects. She works closely with principal investigators (PIs), departmental administrators, and colleagues across the University to provide financial oversight, manage project budgets, and resolve issues throughout the life of an award. Stephanie also provides staff leadership and training and works closely with the Assistant Director, Post-Award to promote consistent practices, support audit readiness, and continuously improve post-award operations.
