The FUSE program is now closed to new applications (with exceptions-read below)
The FUSE grant supports faculty-mentored undergraduate student research and creative activity. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funding runs out.
September 23, 2025 Update:
FUSE funding allotted for Fall 2025 application submissions has been exhausted. Beginning on 9/23/2025 you may currently only apply for a FUSE award if...
-You had a form already in "preparation" status with your name included. Students who this applies to have received an email on 9/23/25.
-You are graduating from your degree program in May 2026 and are therefore requesting a Spring 2026 funding timeline (February-May).
-You are resubmitting a previously denied application.
If you are graduating any time after May 2026 you must wait until January 5, 2026 when the FUSE application will reopen and then you may only apply for a Summer 2026 timeline (activities occurring May-August 2026).
Additional external funding resources can be found on GrantForward.
