Funding for Graduate Student Research & Travel Support
An essential part of every graduate program is learning to use the tools of research, both scholarly and applied. Graduate students who are presenting at a conference may apply for assistance through the Office of Graduate Studies by completing the Graduate Studies Graduate Conference Presentation Proposal through NuRamp (formerly known as MavGrants).
You may also inquire through your department or college for funding support as well.
Graduate Research and Creative Activity
The Office of Research and Creative Activity (ORCA) and the Office of Graduate Studies announce grant support for Graduate Research and Creative Activity (GRACA).
GRACA grants support faculty-mentored graduate student research and creative activity. Grants of up to $5,000 per student are available to UNO graduate students.
Academic and Career Development Center (ACDC)
The Academic and Career Development Center (ACDC) facilitates academic success and career development with resources and services for academic and career exploration.
The Speech Center offers customized, personalized support to help students, faculty, and staff members create, improve, practice, and enhance presentations and overall skill as speakers.
Whether you are new to writing and presenting effective speeches or are an experienced public speaker, the consultants in the Speech Center offer resources that can help you to achieve greater success.
The Writing Center's primary mission is to provide a place for writers to talk with each other about their projects. Appointments with a trained writing consultant are available, during which time we will answer questions, provide feedback, and coach you through any stage of your writing process from brainstorming to final editing.
The Writing Center and the Office of Graduate Studies collaborate each semester to offer a variety of workshops focused on graduate students.
