Minor in MIS
Minor in Management Information Systems
A minor in management information systems may be obtained by completing ISQA 3310, ISQA 3910, and ISQA 4110, plus three hours of upper-division ISQA courses in management information systems.
A grade of "C-" or better is required in each course applied toward this minor in management information systems.
Required Courses
- ISQA 3310 - Managing the Database Environment
Prerequisites: CIST 1100, CIST 2100 or BSAD 3100 - ISQA 3910 - Project Management
Prerequisites: CIST 2500 or BSAD 3160 and CIST 2100 or BSAD 3100 - ISQA 4110 - Information Systems Analysis
Prerequisites: CIST 2100 or BSAD 3100, ISQA 3310, and ISQA 3910.
Note: These courses also count towards the major in Management Information Systems.
Note: Students must meet all prerequisite requirements.
Minor for Accounting Majors
The following five courses have been approved by the departments of ISQA and accounting as specifically relevant tp students in the accounting area. The prerequisites are consistent with course requirements of accounting students.
- ISQA 3310 - Managing the Database Environment
Prerequisites: CIST 2100 or BSAD 3100 - ISQA 3400 - Business Data Communications
Prerequisite: CIST 2100 or BSAD 3100 - ISQA 3910 - Project Management
Prerequisites: BSAD 3100 or ACCT 3080 or CIST 2500 or (BSAD 3160 and CIST 2100) - ISQA 4110 - Information Systems Analysis
Prerequisites: BSAD 3100 or concurrent (CIST 2100 and ISQA 3310 and ISQA 3910) - ISQA 4120 - System Design and Implementation
Prerequisites: ISQA 3310 and ISQA 4110
