UNO Concert Choir Competes in Rovdo International Choral Competition
The choir earned best artistic performance among 68 different competing choirs from across the world at the virtual event.

The UNO Concert Choir recently competed in the Rovdo International Choral Competition in Minsk, Belarus. The event, which was held virtually due to COVID, brought together 68 choirs from seven different countries. The event had 1860 singers in seventy-seven performances in eight various categories.
For their efforts, the UNO Concert Choir, led by Derrick Fox, D.M.A., earned a third place finish in the performance category, a Laureate Diploma I for high scores, and a Special Diploma for the best artistic performance according to the COVID measures of the country.
After the competition, Fox stated, "The affirmation of the students musicianship is great but the confirmation of their ability to thrive in these tough times means even more."
