Setting Up Your English Advisor
If you are undeclared or have fewer than 27 hours:
- You will need to meet with an Arts and Sciences Advising Center Advisor.
If you are a declared English major with 27 or more hours:

Meeting with Your English Advisor
Declared English majors with 27 or more hours are assigned a faculty member from the Department of English for advising, either Dr. Chuck Johanningsmeier (jmeier@unomaha.edu) or Dr. Tammie Kennedy (tmkennedy@unomaha.edu) Dr. Johanningsmeier and Dr. Kennedy are here not only to help you plan your schedule, but also answer questions about:
- Programs of study
- Study abroad options
- Career options
- Graduate and professional school

Planning Your Next Classes
As a current UNO student, you have access to Stellic, a useful tool for strategizing what classes to take next. You and your advisor will use Stellic to build your degree plan and track your progress. Students can navigate to Stellic through their MavLINK student homepage on the left hand menu navigation.
