Student Grade Appeal

Students are entitled by section 5.3 of the regents’ bylaws of the university of appeal a course grade they feel was assigned through prejudice or caprice. Follow these procedures.

Senior Paper or Project (ENGL-4990) Contract

Meant as a capstone experience, the senior paper or project should be attempted during a senior's last or second to last semester. Students contract for ENGL-4990 in conjunction with another 4000 level course. The student should approach the instructor early in the semester to make arrangements. Please note: the English Department office will only give out a permission number to enroll in ENGL-4990 once the senior paper/project contract is filled out and submitted in the English Department Office (AS 192) with a copy of the 4000 level syllabus. Complete, sign, and submit this contract.

Independent Study (ENGL-4980) Contract

Graduate Program Comprehensive Exams

The English MA program requires a comprehensive written examination over a designated body of literature or language prepared and judged by a faculty committee. To register for a comprehensive exam please fill out this form: Comprehensive Exam fillable form.
