Campus Recreation and Wellness strives to provide valuable work experience for UNO students, while fostering their development and career readiness. UNO Rec Well hires UNO students for all hourly positions, but some program areas may hire non-students.  

Who can work part-time for Campus Recreation and Wellness?

  • UNO students registered for at least one (1) semester hour. 
  • Both Work Study and Non-Work Study students are eligible.
  • During the academic year (AY) students may work up to 20 hours per week.
  • During the summer, Thanksgiving, winter, and Spring Break periods, UNO students may work 40 hours per week. During the summer student registration is not required. 

Peak hiring periods are in April/May for the upcoming summer July/August fall semester and November/ December for the spring semester.

Campus Recreation and Wellness (Rec Well) employ over 100 students every year in the following positions

  1. All job postings are on UNO’s Handshake website. All student applicants must apply for open positions through Handshake.  

  2. Once you apply through handshake, a member of the Campus Recreation and Wellness team will contact you, if selected for an interview.
