Jaisy joined the Counseling and Psychological Service as a Mental Health Therapist in 2017.

She received her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace University in Omaha and is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska.

Before joining CAPS at UNO, she served as a mental health therapist at Siena Francis House, and Open Door Mission, Omaha.

She uses a trauma-informed approach with her clients and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained, and has also completed Level 1 and Level 2 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy training.

She has over 15 years of experience working with various ethnicities and cultures in South Africa, India, United Arab Emirates, and the United States. Jaisy also serves as a liaison to UNO’s international student community.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, experiencing different cultures, reading, and hiking.
