Biography

Trudy Nienaber is the Assistant Director of Post-Award at the University of Nebraska at Omaha with 13 years of experience in Research Administration.  She began her Research Administrative career at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in March 2011, which led her to UNO in January 2024.  She brings a strong background in post-award and financial accounting management, making her a valuable asset to the university’s research and creative activity endeavors. 

Trudy leads the post-award team in providing financial oversight, facilitating audits, and managing project modifications such as budget reallocations, amendments, no-cost extensions, and carryover requests. She also develops and delivers training to faculty and staff, ensuring best practices in post-award administration. As a key member of the OSP leadership team, she collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve post-award processes and foster a compliant and supportive research environment at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
