  • We know that public health information systems must meet an increasing demand for information about community health and satisfy the need for timely information from an array of health care providers.
  • We will help to provide the experience in supporting public health departments in defining an information technology strategy that can focus on the issues relevant to community health.
  • We aim to offer IT expertise in working with public health organizations to help define their business case, outlining the costs, benefits, and efficiencies of various proposed information system.

  • Our goal is to be a neutral convener, bringing public health professionals to the table, and facilitating collaborative efforts. Through discussion and research, we can contribute an understanding of the key issues affecting the use of information technology in public health.
