Vivien Marmelat, Ph.D.
- Assistant Professor, Research Project Lead
- Center for Research in Human Movement Variability
email:
area of focus:
- Longitudinal study of gait variability to predict falls in Parkinson’s Disease
Additional Information
Dr. Marmelat's training is in motor control and his research focuses on improving the early
detection of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and developing innovative non-invasive therapies to enhance
rehabilitation programs. He has used nonlinear analysis to study human movement variability and to identify how optimal external stimulations can be employed to preserve the fractal fluctuations of stride-time series.
