Next Generation Leadership Scholars

Supported by the Mammel Foundation, the Next Generation Leadership Scholarship connects students with both financial assistance for their studies and experiential opportunities for professional development. During their senior spring semester as NGLS scholars, students are invited to partake in a Community Engagement trip. Scholars recently visited Chicago, where they got hands on experience learning from local nonprofits like Illinois Workers in Action and the Center for Immigrant Progress.

“For many of our scholars, this was their first time visiting Chicago and an opportunity to learn directly from nonprofit organizations supporting underserved communities through education, advocacy, and policy work. Through a 'Know Your Rights' training and art projects, scholars learned new ways to use their voice, share their stories, and engage in advocacy.” said Yuriko Doku, OLLAS Interim Director.

Anne C. Boyle Scholars

The Anne C. Boyle Scholarship, established on April 19, 2019, honors the memory and lifelong commitment of Anne C. Boyle, whose dedication to public service and advocacy for equality and compassion continues to inspire our students.

The 2026-2027 Anne C. Boyle scholarship recipients are:

  • Deepa Pollali, Senior
  • Neella Rahmati, Junior

“My heart radiates with the passion of the thousands that came before me and the thousands that are alongside me in this fight for justice,” said Pollali, a senior studying neuroscience, “I am so grateful to be a part of the space OLLAS holds for people fervent for change, as we need this community now more than ever.”
