Campus Recreation

The mission of Campus Recreation is to enhance the UNO community's quality of life through participation in fun, diverse recreational and leisure opportunities. Campus Recreation's staff, programs and facilities are recognized locally, regionally and nationally as leaders in the leisure and recreational sports profession. 

Programs & Services

Campus Recreation provides programming and services to the UNO community through the operation of the following: Aquatics, Health & Fitness, Injury Prevention & Care (IPC), Intramurals, Outdoor Venture Center (OVC), Sport Clubs, and Youth Programs.

HPER Building Hours

View the regular HPER building hours as well as holiday hours and special closures for the 2014-2015 academic year.


Aquatics offers a wide range of programming for those looking to improve their swimming abilities or just learn to become comfortable in the water.

Health & Fitness

Group Exercise, Instructional Programs, Personal Training, and Massage Therapy are all available through Campus Recreation.

Intramural Sports

Intramural sports provides exercise, recreation, competition, and fun to all participants in a relaxed, yet structured environment.

Injury Prevention & Care

The Injury Prevention & Care (IPC) Center serves those who are injured in wellness programs or needs help in rehab.

Mav Kids Youth Program

Mav Kids offers a variety of youth targeted programing that is open to children of UNO students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the general public.

Outdoor Venture Center (OVC)

The Outdoor Venture Center (OVC) includes the climbing wall, rental center, trips, workshops, and class offerings.

Sport Clubs

Sport Clubs strive to promote interest in a particular sport or activity. A club may be instructional, recreational, competitive, or any combination.

HPER Room Request

UNO students, faculty, and staff can request a room in HPER by filling out the online request form. Please give at least one (1) day notice for your request to be processed.
