The University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) uses Google Analytics to provide traffic information on its websites and applications.
Identified web leads have access to Google Analytics and can request additional access for other users within their management areas as long as the user:
- has a unomaha.edu email address
- is requested by a web lead
University users who are granted access will receive read access to the unomaha.edu property.

Privacy
Google Analytics employs cookies to define user sessions, which allows for the collection of data about how visitors are using the websites. Google Analytics uses only first-party cookies for data analysis.
This means that the cookies are linked to a specific website domain, and Google Analytics will only use that cookie data for statistical analysis related to your browsing behavior on that specific website. Other Web Analytics Tools
Crazyegg
Crazyegg is a visual click map tool used in a variety of targeted test cases to assist with web projects that have been added to the roadmap or on the Digital Communications roadmap.
Any inquiries to have a page tracked can be sent by submitting a form to Start Your Project. Because the tool is limited, only select click maps can be set per month and for a set duration. MarComm can discuss with you your needs.
Usertesting.com
For a variety of executively approved projects remote user testing can be used to have real people test an application, page, or task. Because the tests cost money only when used, requests for this tool are usually connected to a project. Contact MarComm if you feel you could benefit from user testing.
Social and Media Monitoring
The MarComm team uses some tools to monitor social and traditional media. The team is exploring enterprise tools and discussing with the community if this would be useful on an enterprise scale. The tools currently used are HubSpot and Meltwater.
