Additional Information

About Emily Prauner

Emily Prauner is the Director of Donor and Visitor Services at Fontenelle Forest. She is an Omaha native and outdoor enthusiast who is passionate about environmental sustainability, community-building, and nonprofit management.

Previous roles include Donor Services Specialist at the Omaha Community Foundation (OCF), connecting philanthropists with organizations and projects they care about most, as well as Development Officer at Habitat for Humanity of Omaha.

“Developing and deepening relationships is the most important part of my job, and fortunately also my favorite. Giving is inherently personal, and it is an honor to support donors on their giving journey, all while helping to fulfill community needs.”

Emily received a bachelor’s degree in public communication from Truman University in Kirksville, MO. She also graduated with a master’s in public administration (MPA) with a nonprofit management emphasis from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she gained a depth of knowledge of how to view social issues through different lenses, a critical skill set in today’s environment.

She earned her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation through the American College of Financial Services in 2021 and continues to support the local CAP study group program on the content committee. Emily also serves on several boards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Nebraska Chapter and Marian High School Alumnae Board of Advancement.

Emily and her husband Seth live in midtown Omaha, where they pour love into their dog Bendi and their 100+ year-old home.
