Dr. Brennemann is the Data Analysis & Evaluation Manager in the City of Philadelphia’s Mayor’s Office of Education. In this role, she oversees data used to evaluate prevention programs, improve student outcomes, and support youth. She collaborates with municipal agencies and education providers to strengthen their use of data. Her dissertation, Calm on Cue: A Phenomenological Study of Emotional Labor and Trauma During Active Shooter Drills, examines emotional labor and trauma in the context of active shooter drills. A Founder’s Fellow at the 2026 ASPA conference, she continues her scholarship in critically queer legal studies, trauma, and emotional labor through conference presentations and guest lectures in graduate courses. She also teaches Introduction to Public Administration as an adjunct instructor.
