Biography
Sojin Jang is an Assistant Professor specializing in the intersection of emergency management, environmental and energy policy, and policy processes. Her research examines how government actions shape equity in public service delivery, particularly in the context of emergency management and policy implementation. She also explores the ways policies interact with and respond to disasters, assessing their impact on communities and governance structures. Her work has been published in International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, Review of Policy Research, and Environmental Policy and Governance, among others. She earned a B.S. in Business with honors from Indiana University Bloomington, an M.P.A. from Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado Denver.
